HISTORY
- During the early career of the first Hourman, he was aided by a young boy working in a sweatshop that ended up killing other young workers due to poor conditions. Hourman ended the threat, and met with Jimmy and learned that he was part of a loose-knit band of other young "hams". Wanting to reward Jimmy for his help on the case, and to present himself as a role model, he helped him organize the Minute-Men of America, using their short wave radios to alert the authorities and Hourman in particular, to fast breaking crime. He built a small reciever and transmitter that Jimmy wore and adopted the nick-name "Minute-Man Martin" while helping Hourman on several cases.
- After revealing his identity to Martin, he let him in on his Miraclo formula and gave him a test smaller dose, also giving him a duplicate costume to wear on several adventures.
- Jimmy Martin abruptly stopped appearing with Hourman around March of 1942. No explanation has ever be given, but it might be assumed that he may have moved with his widowed mother, or possibly enlisted in the US military after the start of hostilities.
