HISTORY

A special effects designer who has worked with Dan Cassidy, the Blue Devil, and accompanied him on many of his adventures. Though originally claiming to be from Brooklyn, Morty comes from the planet Maldor, which came as quite a surprise to his friend when the two were abducted to that world some time ago. His natural form is not humanoid, but is has never been explicitly stated exactly which of his other forms is the norm.

Morty had been sent my the Maldorians to study Blue Devil and bring him to Maldor as they were intrigued by the Devil's technological and mystical synergy. Their scientists had created a device to weaken the technical-mystical interface, or as Blue Devil referred to it, his "weirdness magnet." - Showcase '93 #1 - 3
