HISTORY

Nekron is a cosmic entity in the universe containing Earth-6. Self-proclaimed "Devourer of LIfe," Nekron travels the universe to feed on the Trees of Life of inhabited worlds. Despite their efforts, the Gladiator of Bolovax Vik, the Knight of Krogugar and other unnamed champions on unknown planets were unable to save their World Trees.

His arrival on Earth was preceded by a flash of black light, triggering waves of earthquakes and disasters across the planet. Nekron sought Yggdsasil, Earth's own Tree of Life. As in encounters before, the world's champion came forth to battle Nekron. Green Lantern would not fare any better than other champions and all seemed lost. Earth's champion was only able to defeat Nekron by calling upon all life on Earth to share their light with him. IN doing so, the Green Lantern was able to hand Nekron his first and only defeat, forcing the personification of death to retreat to the stars.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Nekron's observed abilities include protection from the hazards of outer space, super strength, and flight. He wields two custom scythes.
