HISTORY

Blossomville, Pennsylvania was a rich mining town until the 1970s, when it became a dump for nuclear waste. A derelict drank from the pits, and found that not only did he survive – he even liked and grew addicted to it. Soon, he became a scarred, toothless figure, surrounded by a blue glow, plantlife dying in his path. The locals referred to him as "Nukeface".

After a scandal, the nuclear company moved their dump to Louisiana, and Nukeface tagged along. In the bayou, the mentally disturbed man aimlessly searched for his desired liquid, while encountering bums and tramps in the swamps, poor people who died from direct contact with him, or from drinking the waste he unselfishly shared with his "drinking buddies".

The nuclear company's Wallace Monroe was employed to cover up the environmental scandal. Ironically, his pregnant wife Treasure was one of Nukeface's victims. Another victim was the Swamp Thing, whose original body was destroyed. When last seen, Nukeface happily wandered off to find more waste to still his needs.
