HISTORY

A creature with a bottomless appetite, the ultimate predator. In the 31st century, the lost Legionnaires found the Omniphagos trapped in a gravitational pit itself encased in a hard-light pyramid and realised it had been imprisoned there eons ago by a civilisation terrified of its power.

Jan Arrah a.k.a. Element Lad, the Progenitor, had the Omniphagos retrieved and secured by its Progeny. When he revealed to the Legionnaires that he intended to set it loose behind him to wipe clean its creation after he left with them for the United Planets, his old teammates started to think he was no longer the person they knew. A plan was devised to re-enter U.P. space by using the Omniphagos' gravitational prison as a stargate and shutting it behind them. The Legionnaires freed the Omniphagos to keep Jan Arrah diverted and attempted to flee from the warzone aboard their makeshift outpost. As the Omniphagos consumed him, Jan Arrah's transmuting abilities fused them together in one monstrous entity. Livewire soon realised that they wouldn't make it. He brought to him the two most powerful Legionnaires and paralyzed them with a bolt of lightning. After a short farewell to Imra he resigned from the Legion then left the outpost, sacrificing himself to destroy the Omniphagos so that his teammates could live.
