HISTORY

A waterworld, Ontaeus was ruled by the monarch King Thalak. When the offer came to be protected by L.E.G.I.O.N., Thalak refused, believing his world would be an unlikely target of invasion due to its aquatic environment. His rejection was not accepted by the then-current leader of L.E.G.I.O.N., Lyrl Dox. L.E.G.I.O.N. forces soon attacked, and would quickly overwhelm the native population. Fearing the loss of his monarchy, if not his life, King Thalak succumed to Dox's command and became a L.E.G.I.O.N. client world.
