HISTORY
A woman with an untreatable medical condition who sought the help of a doctor who believed that a leopard extract could help her. The extract did halt the progress of her condition, but Dorsey was transformed into a cat-human hybrid. She encountered Catwoman in this state, who had been kidnapped by the doctor, and savagely slew the medic before disappearing for some time.
She resurfaced working together with her lover Tezcatlipoca during the Joker’s 'Last Laugh' riots. Panara and Tezcatlipoca were defeated and taken into custody by Robin (Tim Drake) and Blue Beetle. At some point during her disappearance, she took on the name of Panara, a reference to an area of India where several hundred people were apparently killed by single leopard during the nineteenth century. - Robin Vol.2 #96
