OVERVIEW

The Parliament of Flames is an alliance of Earth's former Fire Elementals. Their powers were passed on to the Earth Elemental called Swamp Thing (IV).

HISTORY

An alliance of Earth’s former Fire Elementals residing in Earth's sun, the Parliament of Flames was possibly the unseen power responsible for the creation of several Fire Elementals, such as Firestorm, Aurora, and Corona. The Parliament of Flames is said to be the oldest of all Elemental Parliaments. The members of parliament have not been named, but seem to include a dragon-like beings. The fire demon Surtur of Norse mythology is said to have once been a Fire Elemental, but it is not known whether he is a member of parliament or not. The witch Thessaly is also known to keep a lizard-like fire elemental in a bottle.

In recent years, the Parliament of Flames joined the other elemental Parliaments in an attempt to re-make the world, passing on all of their power to their common champion, the elemental called Swamp Thing (IV).
