HISTORY

Otto von Furth was a mine worker in Berlin who was trapped by an unexpected cave-in and subjected to highly radioactive radium. He was rescued, but kidnapped from the hospital by General Zahl, who experimented on von Furth's body. This caused his body to mutate into unstable protoplasm that would destroy any organic matter. As Plasmus, von Furth was eventually recruited by the Brain into the new Brotherhood of Evil to extract his revenge on Zahl. Since then, Plasmus has continued his criminal career with the Brotherhood and on his own, encountering heroes such as the Titans, Superman, and Steel. He has been destroyed at least three times, but regenerated himself each time and could very well be indestructible.
