NOTE

The Progeny are a bug-like race in a faraway galaxy that was created by the Progenitor (the godlike former Legionnaire Element Lad) in order to enforce his "survival of the fittest" philosophy. The Progeny killed countless other races they deemed "variant". After the death of the Progenitor, the tables turned and the hated Progeny was hunted, tortured and killed by many of those whom they had formerly oppressed. Among the most persistent Progeny-haters are the villainous Singularity and his extremist organization called Credo. The Legion of Super-Heroes have taken stand against the extermination and claim that an entire race cannot be judged for actions some of them did on the orders of their creator. This has resulted in hostilities between the Legion and the Credo.
