HISTORY

Captain Israel Harel was an Israeli Commando who led a commando rescue raid against Arab extremists in Qurac. Shot in the back and falling into the sea, he was rescued by the henchmen of Steve Dayton (a.k.a. Mento) Mento infused the injured Harel with the self-regenerating substance called Promethium, thereby saving his life but also transforming him into an inhuman reptile-like creature, able to fly at supersonic speeds. As Pteradon, he was drafted into Dayton's "Hybrid", a team of reluctant anti-heroes who fought the New Titans. Pteradon was a quiet tactician who did not really want to carry out Mento's agenda, and was only kept in line with Mento's mind-controlling helmet.

All of Pteradon's teammates in the Hybrid were allegedly killed on the gladiator-like Arena of Roulette's House, a gambling club for super-villains. However, Ptedaron was not depicted among the dead, and his current whereabouts are unknown.
