HISTORY

An alien being made of pure living energy traveling to save his dying people menaced in their existence by the decline of their sun. Pyra arrived in her UFO on the future Earth of the great-cataclysm timeline and encountered Kamandi. [Kamandi #?].

The planet Zyrandus was inhabited by an intelligent race of energy beings, but Zyrandians were able to take an humanoid form to perform physical tasks. Zyrandus entered a critical period when it ran short on energy. Zyrandian savants had to build giant robots able to conduct underground combustible retrieval with gigantic digging machines. This solution worked for a while but, ultimately, those energy sources dried too. The planet was dying, its sun, in its final red giant phase wasn't enough to feed the energy-based Zyrandian people. The decision was taken by the Coordinator to send a scooting mission across the galaxy in search of an energy source sufficient to save the planet. Pyra was chosen to pilot this expedition. After years of unsuccessful travels on numerous planets, Pyra entered the borders of our Solar System. That's when she was attracted by a giant flickering of light, the conflagration of the Great Cataclysm that happened on Earth. Pyra landed her vessel on our world, in a time where animals had become sentient and were the dominant species. When Kamandi and Doctor Canus came across what they called an UFO, they detected Pyra's energy presence. Doc. Canus managed to transmute her into a solid carbon-based body.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As an energy being, Pyra can inhabit other lifeforms. It seems that the natives of Zyrandus were able to change shape at will. She he also able to generate heat and energy.
