HISTORY
A group of villains who are inspired by the Rainbow Raider, each of them takes their name from one of the colours of the rainbow, taking the name of whichever colour most closely matches their abilities. Each has a different super-power and they are most effective when they work together.
The powers thus far demonstrated by the Raiders include: Red (strength), Orange (flame powers), Yellow (speed, plus the manipulation of electricity), Green (power over plants), Blue (water-based powers, including transforming his body into liquid), Indigo (shadow powers), Violet (ability to literally take someone's breath away).
The Rainbow Raiders were present at Captain Boomerang's funeral and were also seen working with Computron at the S.T.A.R. Facility in Clark Forks, Montana. Here, they were defeated by Johnny Quick and Power Ring of the Crime Syndicate, who were posing as Flash (Wally West) and Green Lantern (John Stewart) of the JLA.
During the Blackest Night event, the Rainbow Raiders were convinced the dead were overrunning the Earth and would be victorious. They opted to join what they saw as the winning team by taking their own lives. They did not realize they had so liitle impact on the lives of the living, the black power rings were not interested in having them serve the Black Lantern Corps. - Untold Tales of Blackest Night #1
