HISTORY
In the 2040s, Reinhold Borsten was an eccentric scientist who had constructed a time machine – the Borsten Time Platform – and while using it discovered that a nuclear World War was going to erupt in 2045.
To set himself up as a power in the post-nuclear world, Borsten teleported himself to a point after the holocaust. Upon learning that the world was now ruled by criminal cartels, Borsten decided to roll with it and became a mighty entertainment magnate who used the Platform to fetch warriors from the past and have them battle each other in gladiator-like games. One of those warriors was the famous Old West hero Jonah Hex, who managed to escape Borsten and became a rebel in the new world until returning to his own era.
Borsten's Time Platform ended up in the Space Museum and was later used by Rip Hunter and Booster Gold to escape from the 25th century.
