OVERVIEW

The so-called "Minute-Men of America" were kids who fought alongside Hourman (Rex Tyler) in the 1940s, taking a variant of the Miraclo Pills that gave them super-powers for one minute at a time. One of the most active members was Thorndyke Tompkins, who called himself variously Second-Hand and Sweep Second when fighting crime. Thorndyke even replaced Jimmy "Minute-Man" Martin as Hourman's foremost sidekick. In recent years, the aged Thorndyke returned to a semi-active career as "Sweep Second" a member of Old Justice.
