HISTORY

Sekhmet ("the mighty female") is the Egyptian goddess of war. She is the sister of the cat goddess Bast and is often depicted as a woman with a lion's head. Widely feared as "The Eye of Ra", Sekhmet is also one of Ra's instruments of revenge. In another one of her aspects she was also known as Pakhet ("she who scratches"). After a long time in dormancy, Sekhmet found new power during the recent Imperiex war and joined forces with the war gods of other pantheons, such as Ares and Skanda/Kartikeyya, in an attempt to vanquish the other gods.
