HISTORY

An asteroid where the remains of heroes killed in the line of duty are put to rest. When it was founded is not known, but in the 31st century, it is known to have been in use for hundreds of years. Among the dead heroes resting on Shangalla are Legionnaires Ferro Lad, who sacrificed his life so that the universe may live; Invisible Kid; Chemical King; Karate Kid; Superboy (Kal-El of the Pocket Universe); Magnetic Kid; Phantom Girl; Reflecto; it was also the final resting place of Triplicate Girl's third body and of the heroes Hate Face, Beast Boy (II) and Mentalla.

An alternate timeline also lists Blok, Sun Boy and Laurel Gand among the honored dead.

In the universe containing Earth-247, it is the resting place of Legionnaires Leviathan (I) and Kid Quantum (I), Uncanny Amazers member Atom'X, the free agent Blast-Off (the energies of the latter two eventually formed the new being known as Wildfire), Science Police officers Adam Karl and Jonas H'dar, explorer S'turn Ro'g, and G'dath of the Silvans. On the asteroid lies also the Shrine to the Unknown Martian.
