HISTORY

Shyir Rev was an engineer on Colony 12, with his geologist wife Biara and their daughter Amala when he was selected by a Green Lantern power ring. As Colony 12 was beyond the fringes of Guardian Space, the so-called Frontier Lanterns received limited instruction from their rings and were often hunted by the Red Lanterns. Shyir Rev fell victim to the same type of ambush which led to the death of M'Ten some 18 months prior. Fortunately two veteran Lanterns Hal Jordan and Kilowog arrived to save Shyir from near-certain death.

Despite the rescue, Shyir Rev was greviously injured and had to return to Colony 12 and his wife for medical assistance. Their location was discovered by the Red Lanterns.
