HISTORY

A scientist on her homeworld of Krypton, Shyla Kor-On sought to become a space-pilot but was rejected for not meeting physical requirements. Unwilling to take the time and effort for a physical fitness program, she instead devised technology to drain energy from unsuspecting victims and channel it into herself. An unfortunate mishap in misjudging her strength caused machinery to crush a man she had drained energy from, killing him. She was convicted of manslaughter for the accidental death and sentenced to one year in the Phantom Zone.

The destruction of Krypton occurred before her release and she spent the next few decades devising an escape.
