HISTORY
Sidney Speck was a delusional alcoholic in Gotham City who believed himself to be a super-hero. As Captain Sixpack, he mostly engaged in imagined delirious battles against Darkseid and other menaces, but from time to time, he was able to assist his friend Tommy "Hitman" Monaghan against menaces such as the Mawzir, Lobo, and the King of Vampires.
Sixpack was also the founder of Section Eight, a "super-hero" team made up by mentally disturbed wannabees. Most of Section Eight were killed in battle with the Many-Angled Ones, but the demon were unable to hurt Sixpack, possibly due to his pure and heroic heart.
The Many-Angled Ones spared the life of Earth if Sixpack accepted their challenge and joined them on a journey through Hell. Sixpack went with them, and was never seen again. Hitman and his friends put up a statue of him in Robinson Park, unknowing that the man behind the mask had survived the experience. No more clad in greasy spandex, Sidney Speck now attends Alcoholics Anonymous meetings regularly.
