HISTORY

A former Metropolis police lieutenant once assigned to leave murder witness Shilo Norman in the protective custody of escape artist Scott Free. Driver's relationship with Mister Miracle was cordial though he didn't take the hero's crime-fighting involvement entirely seriously ("It's not like giving a show") and believed that "escape artists could give us police a lot of trouble."

Driver eventually moved to a position in the San Francisco police department and even learned how to cooperate with superheroes after befriending Skyrocket of the Power Company.
