HISTORY

Once a great hero on his homeworld of Ogoro, Starstorm had opposed Sinestro for years. In his last battle with the villain, Starstorm was utterly humiliated in front of the world to see. Sinestro swore to kill Starstorm if he ever wore his helmet again.

Years later, Sinestro returned as a Green Lantern to enlist the broken hero's assistance in tracking down Lyssa Drak. Now the caretaker of the Book of the Black, she was a formidable opponent. Drak saw the future of Starstorm, which involved him taking his own life like his father had. She saw more regarding Sinestro, which likely spared her life. After he had defeated Lyssa Drak, Sinestro left with his captive, leaving Starstorm behind, a broken man.

Starstorm was later interrogated by the Guardians of the Universe who were also searching for the Book of the Black. He was unable to answer and, despite the future predicted by Lyssa Drak, was killed before the Guardians left to hunt for Sinestro.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Starstorm's helmet gives him the ability to manipulate light, specifically enabling him to disrupt power ring constructs. He can also track energy signatures.
