OVERVIEW

A self-described "elite of America's underworld" - well financed, well armed, and well trained - the freelance mercenary organization known as the Strike Force was founded years ago with Arthur Pemberton (the nephew of Sylvester Pemberton a.k.a. Star-Spangled Kid I) as the team leader, ranked "Number One". Following the Force's defeat at the hands of the JSA, a new Number One re-formed the team, and started a long and successful career, accepting only missions that did not involve super-heroes. Recently, Doctor Cyber assigned the Strike Force to retrieve the powerful Godstone. The mission led to a clash with the new-formed Power Company, and during an attempt to stel the Company's aircraft for an escape, the Strike Force were defeated by Josiah Power and Sapphire. They are currently in prison.
