For good or for evil, the world of New Genesis resounds to powerful hoofbeats – that once mingled with the terrible sounds of battle!! At any rate, Lonar has a living artifact – a wondrous war horse!!! Quote taken from Forever People Vol. 1 #5 (October-November 1971) |
OVERVIEW
Found in a lost city of the Old Gods, Thunderer is now the horse of the solitary New God Lonar of New Genesis.
HISTORY
Thunderer is the only surviving battle-horse of the Old Gods, placed in suspended animation and encased in stone during the destruction of the GodWorld. Billions of years later, the explorer New God Lonar ventured into a hidden ruin on New Genesis, where he found and freed Thunderer, who became Lonar's companion.
POWERS AND WEAPONS
It has not yet been revealed if Thunderer is an Old God himself, or if he simply is an animal, albeit a highly intelligent and sensible animal. He is known to have bowed as a greeting to Orion, and to have reared at the touch of the same, which suggests some sort of telepathic or empathic ability.
