HISTORY

The teenage villainess Twister was originally a girl named Theresa, a devotee of the Church of Blood. Theresa loved the charismatic Church leader, Brother Blood, above all, while Blood merely used her as a subject for his experiments. These experiments gave Theresa the psionic power to induce hallucinations in others, but also distorted her face as well as her mind in a horrible way. Following Blood's will, Twister battled the New Teen Titans alongside the Brotherhood of Evil. More recently, she was seen in Circe's army of female super-villains.

BLACK LANTERN: TWISTER

During the event known as the Blackest Night, a black ring descended upon Twister's corpse located in Belle Reve. The ring downloaded all of Twister's memories and created a duplicate of her body that rose from the grave as a member of the Black Lantern Corps to prey upon the Suicide Squad and the Secret Six. Black Lantern Twister was destroyed by the explosion of a Manhunter which released spectrum energy. -Secret Six Vol. 3 #18
