HISTORY
One of countless beings across the universe to be taken for experimentation by the Dominators, Uruk of Khundia was one of the few to survive said experiments.
A lone Dominator had discovered an “artifact” that had the ability to accelerate the evolution of any living being exposed to it granting enhanced physical and mental abilities. Unfortunately, the change was too much for Khund physiology. The Khundian brain was too small to process ocular and telepathic information. After removing Uruk's eyes, the Dominator was successful.
Exposing himself to the artifact, the lone Dominator accelerated his evolution as well. No longer beholden to his caste superiors, he dubbed himself "the Dominator" and set to avenge the defeated Dominion led invasion of Earth. - Green Lantern Corps Vol. 2 #7
A Guardian learned of the Dominator's plans and dispatched the Corpse, a secret division of the Green Lantern Corps against this threat. Guy Gardner of Earth was sent to silence Uruk, and may have defeated the Khund, but for the arrival of the Dominator.
While the Dominator intercepted Corpse agent R'amey Holl from taking the artifact, Uruk battled the Durlan Von Daggle. Believing they were victorious, the Dominator made his way to Earth with his apostle, Uruk. - Green Lantern Corps Vol. 2 #8
Unbeknownst to the Dominator, Uruk had been torn apart by Von Daggle, and the Durlan took Uruk’s appearance to get close to the Dominator on Earth. Though the Dominator learned of the subterfuge, he was ultimately defeated by the Corpse. - Green Lantern Corps Vol. 2 #9
