Batman: Holy Terror

@All: I tried my hand at creating a new page, and the damned thing refuses to show the sections (?).properly. Help? Please? --FrankFlynn61 11:04, 2 March 2011 (UTC)

It was simply missing the end-of-section code }} at the end of the document. Since I don't have the book myself, I can't comment much on the centent aside from a few things. First of all under cover you have listed "cover = Batman: Holy Terror.png". Since images can't have : in the name those should always be changed to - so that in this case it would read "Batman - Holy Terror.png". If the penciller and inker is one and the same list him/her as "artist =" instead of as penciller and inker.
The "(Reverend Bruce Anthony Wayne)" should be after the end-of-bold code. If this is the first appearance of the characters, it should state so in the index. How many of the characters listed in the guest appearances that should actually be there I can't say but I would think that a lot of these belong under other characters. Also a number of the characters in other characters should probably be listed as cameo appearances (or not at all, unless they have a direct behind the scenes impact on the story). Anyway, this is not really your fault, as the guidelines are not really easy to find. You can find some information here, although from the look of it that page is in serious need of updating. Seems like a good project for when I move it to the wiki, which I ought to do soon, so that we can discuss these matters easier.
All this aside it looks like good work, so please don't take my complaints negatively --Tenzel Kim 12:10, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
First, a big thanks. I rearranged some characters as noted.
Second, I have never quite understood the difference between "other characters" amd "cameo appearances". For me, a CA was something like a character passing by or appearing on a screen without speaking and certainly contributing nothing to the story itself. while "other characters" had at least speaking parts but were somewhat tangential to the strory. Oh well.
Third, since this is an Elseworlds story (and the very first official one), the BTS characters, most of which are counterparts oif DC regulars, do indeed contribute to the world-history sketched in this story. Maybe "other characters" is too strong a category, but in my view, "cameo" is too weak for them, and they should not be left out.. I may have overshot the mark with Reverend Cleery, though ...
Anyway, when the entry is complete I will post it and remove the rough form from my talk page with a note. We should think about an Elseworlds category, though, since I am not sure that this book should be on the regular Batman Title list. --FrankFlynn61 13:02, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Agree about the Elseworlds category. As for the appearances. As I said I don't have the issue so I can't say where they ought to be. Cameo appearances are generally appearances that aren't "actual" appearances (which includes behind the scenes appearances even if you don't actually see them), such as appearances in a photo and so on. We haven't included this kind of appearance in the Guide before as they had absolutely no impact on the character's chronology. Anyway, I agree that the various character appearance categories should be better defined so that it is easy to tell what goes where. --Tenzel Kim 13:36, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
Batman: Holy Terror is up and running. The rough text is being removed. --FrankFlynn61 10:23, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
