OVERVIEW

A villain who opposed Superboy using the technology of Apokolips.

HISTORY

In the nineteenth century, Victor Volcanum was an explorer, riding aboard his hot air balloon in hopes to discover the world's many wonders. Unfortunately for him, his balloon caught too much wind and blew him into a Greek volcano. He discovered he had stumbled upon many glorious discoveries. One of which was a follower drone from the planet of the New Gods from Apokolips. He tinkered with its advanced technology and once it awoke, it gladly made him its master. It then created an army of other follower drones. Volcanum soon became master of an army who were always at his beckoned call. Volcanum soon discovered that he for some unknown reason was not bothered by the molten lava he was surrounded by. In fact, he got so brave that began to to actually drink the stuff! In doing so, he realized the lava made him immortal, and for over one hundred years, he made exploring the earth's crust with his army his life's work.

Over a century later, he decided it was time to return to the earth's surface, and make public his appearance. He erected a massive island from the ocean in the middle of the Pacific in attempts for this island to become his new contact with the outside world. In doing so, he soon kidnapped a team of scientists who stumbled upon this brand new island in hopes to find out what the heck was going on. Superboy and Knockout soon heard of this kidnapping and decided they wanted to investigate it themselves. There Superboy checked on the captives, which Volcanum called his "guests". Knockout began to seduce Volcanum just as Superboy returned! Knockout claimed she was being attacked, and Superboy beat Volcanum within inches of his life. Victor Volcanum then instructed Superboy to kill him, when he refused, Knockout appeared to finish the job! The drones then sunk the island to return their master to the lava that was his lifeblood.

Superboy realized he had to save the scientists trapped on the island or else they would drown with the sinking island. He then rescued them and came back to the island to return to the island to bring Victor Volcanum to the authorities (He came to his senses that Victor Volcanum wasn't going to change). When he came back to the room where Volcanum had just been killed, his body was gone.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Victor Volcanum was a man of great wealth and power. He had an army of robots at his disposal, he was virtually the emperor of all that exists at earth's crust, and because of the molten lava he drank he was immortal. Since it's pretty hard to kill any immortals, it's only a matter of time whether or not we'll find out if he's really dead or not.
