NOTE

An alien race first encountered by Swamp Thing years ago. One space pilot was captured by government agents – including Matt Cable – in the swamps of Louisiana. While Cable wanted to bring the creature peacefully to the authorities, others – led by Captain Brad Samson – thought it better to kill it. This ended in physical hostilities between the agents, witnessed and soon interrupted by the alien, who freed himself from bondage. He explained that he only wanted help to mend his spaceship and return to his homeworld in peace. But after seeing the violent Earthlings, he had nothing but pity for them. The alien took off in his broken ship, crashlanded, and died.-Swamp Thing Vol. 1 #9

Years later, the alien's mate and her unborn child visited Earth on a mission from the Alien Alliance who had invaded Earth. Meeting the pregnant Abby Cable, the alien felt a kinship to her and peacefully left the Earth with the remains of her husband. But since they were in the midst of a war, the Green Lantern Guy Gardner attacked her spaceship and caused it to crash, killing the entire family. -Swamp Thing Vol. 2 #81
