HISTORY

The apprentice to the veteran Green Lantern Wylxa, the young man named Tahr had been a constant source of disappointment to his master. After being humiliated by the older Green Lantern, Tahr considered quitting. Remembering his own mistakes during his early days as a Green Lantern, Wylxa changed his view regarding Tahr.
Green Lantern Vol. 2 #156

Following the death of Wylxa during the Crisis, Tahr was to be reviewed as a Green Lantern by Gk'd of Fp'y. - Green Lantern Vol. 2 #200

Tahr is currently active in the Green Lantern Corps but his adventures have yet to be chronicled.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

As a Green Lantern, Tahr possesses a power ring and power battery.

GLCWP NOTE

The opening caption and panel allude to Portworld as being Earth in the far flung future.

While this might have been possible, (despite the fact Earth is in Sector 2814, the designation of a sector is fixed on Oa as the center, but the celestial objects themselves are not fixed) it is disproven by the mention of Wylxa and Tahr in the (then) present of Green Lantern Vol. 2 #199.
