HISTORY
A Green Lantern, Asile was also a member of the clandestine organization called the Corpse. The elite Lanterns chosen for the "black ops division" of the Green Lantern Corps were sent on missions where the Lanterns could not operate, or their presence would need to be denied. Asile was sent undercover by the Guardians of the Universe to infiltrate a threat older than the Green Lantern Corps itself.
The Shadow Empire grew out of the Empire of Tears and had taken root on many worlds. Working undercover, Aisle let herself be taken as a slave and as years passed she became an overseer. Buried so deep undercover, at times she forgot she had been a Green Lantern as she awaited the Guardians' next actions.[1]
The fall of the Green Lantern Corps at the hands of Parallax-controlled Hal Jordan[2] also meant doom for the Corpse. Many operatives died or were lost as their power was suddenly gone or communication ended. A partner of Aisle's, the Durlan Lantern Von Daggle, began a search for her but in vain. The Green Lantern Corps would return some years later.
The Shadow Empire would grow, eventually their existence would be known and their plans revealed. Using the services of Hunger Dog, Von Daggle found Aisle's power ring on Ungara and Aisle herself on its moon.[3]
Finally reunited, the pair then faced down Wyllt of the Shadow Empire which resulted in the destruction of Ungara's moon. Though Wyllt escaped, Asile and Von Daggle would continue their war against the Shadow Empire.[4]
POWERS AND WEAPONS
As a Green Lantern, Asile possessed a power ring and power battery.
While the Corps was active, it is presumed Asile may have unitized a Corpse Disc at some point.
