OVERVIEW

A version of Brainiac forced to serve Larfleeze.

HISTORY

An older Brainiac model, the self-designated "Brainiac Version 2.0" was found deep within Okaara amid the hoard of possessions collected by Larfleeze. Badly damaged the Brainiac unit was a head, torso and left arm. How this Brainiac arrived in this state remains unknown to both he and Larfleeze. The energy of the orange light of avarice restarted Brainiac but also controlled him. Larfleeze would restore Brainiac as the Orange Lantern was very interested in his collection, and Brainiac appeared powerless against "the Grand Collector."

Brainiac's shrinking technology greatly improved Larfleeze's ability to store his ever growing collection. The robotic lifeform was also able to capture Starro and use the Star Conqueror to bait a trap on Xudar which ensnared the Green Lantern Corps and members of the Sinestro Corps. Some of the Lanterns were last of their species, causing Larfleeze to savor his collection even more.

Once the Lanterns learned Larfleeze was the enemy behind their captivity they were able to manipulate the situation to gain their freedom and that of others held by Larfleeze. The entirety of his collection was at risk. This had been Brainiac's plan all along, predicting the ring wielders would eventually overcome Larfleeze so Brainiac could gain his own freedom. Enraged, Larfleeze destroyed Brainiac, the robot believed he was free of the Grand Collector, but instead he found himself one of Larfleeze's Orange Lantern Corps.

POWERS AND WEAPONS

Just like his fellow Brainiac units,"Version 2.0" features exceptional intellectual ability and technology including forcefields and the ability to shrink matter. As he was damaged as well as enslaved by Larfleeze it is not known if any of Brainiac's abilities were impaired.
