Synopsis: - The Justice League find themselves facing natural disasters on an immense scale, and realize that Major Disaster is potentially the cause of these. However, the arrival of Sister Superior, Manchester Black's sister, tells them that all is not as it seems. Gaea, the earth mother, is disgusted by her children's lack of unity, and is punishing them. If the scale of natural disasters continues to increase, humanity could be wiped out by its mother in a matter of days. The League reluctantly agree to a scheme whereby Vera Lynn Black will resurrect the Elite and make it a force to be reckoned with, a force that will require opposition from the combined armies of the world alongside the League. Seeing this unity, Gaea is appeased and spares her children from further punishment. A greater spirit of unity is also seen amongst the United Nations. Later, Black suggests that she form a covert Justice League group, a group that doesn't officially exist which can carry out missions that the League itself isn't suitable for. Superman is extremely dubious, but several League members agree to join this group. Manitou Raven and Major Disaster join her, and Flash decides to split his time between the two teams.
