HISTORY

The hideout of rogue scientist Jarvis Kord. The first Blue Beetle (Dan Garrett), and Ted Kord (Jarvis' nephew) followed Jarvis' criminal activities to Pago Island where they ended up fighting a robotic army. Ted was apparently the only one to leave Pago Island alive.

Years later, archaeologist Condrad Carapax investigated the ruins of Pago Island and unearthed a battle android left by Jarvis. His mind transferred into the robot, Carapax became Carapax, the Indestructable Man and ended up fighting Ted Kord - now the second Blue Beetle - on the island. The battle wakened the original Beetle who had survived in a state of suspended animation, but who was now corrupted by the Scarab of Khaefre. The two Beetles fought until Garrett broke the mind-control shortly before dying. The Scarab was shattered and Pago Island was destroyed.
