Synopsis:
Dex-Starr is attacked by aliens who are motivated by the suffering of others. Atrocitus appears to save him. Atrocious reflects upon how his own rage is weakening. He ponders his place in life and being a Red Lantern, vowing to punish those he deems as evil.
On Earth an old man is mugged and murdered, and later two of his grandchildren (Jack and Raymond) that he raised are in a fight with one another - due to the fact that one of them showed up late to the hospital because he had to turn in a term paper.
