The god Pan sets up obstacle after obstacle trying to stop Hippolyta from reaching her daughter. The Amazon Queen is pushed over a precipice. She buries her axe into a rock column which yell out with the voice of Heracles.
Princess Diana meets the spirit of Diana Rockwell Trevor. Diana Trevor tells how she became a WAF and then later married Colonel Steve Trevor's father. After the war she returned to raise her son but the love of flying lured her away from home. She crashed on Paradise Island while test piloting a new jet. She fought beside the Amazons to rescue Menalippe from Cottus, who was trying to escape through Doom's doorway. Diana was torn to shreds by Cottus. Since then she has been waiting within Doom's Doorway to meet Princess Diana. Pan instructs Diana to join the Green Lantern Corps in birthing the new generation of humans.
