OVERVIEW

One of the Batmen of the Dark Multiverse, the Bruce Wayne of Earth -32 wields a corrupted Green Lantern power ring as The Dawnbreaker.

HISTORY

Witnessing the deaths of his parents, Thomas and Martha Wayne, young Bruce Wayne lost all feeling, creating an emotional void within himself. A power ring of the Green Lantern Corps took this as a sign Bruce had overcome fear and thus was worthy to brandish its energies, but it was mistaken. Though without fear, Bruce was driven for revenge and had more than enough will to bend the ring to his command, overriding its programming against lethal force and inviting darkness into the ring. He incinerated his parents' killer without remorse.

As Earth's Green Lantern, Bruce Wayne dispatched criminals without mercy. The Gotham City police were wary of his actions, though there was little they could do about it. Commissioner James Gordon revealed to Bruce he knew his identity and was cut down by the ring wielder. This brought the attention of the Guardians of the Universe and their Green Lanterns to Earth as the darkness would threaten the Corps itself. Despite their combined might, they were no match for Bruce Wayne and the creatures he could summon with the darkness. Despite his power, Bruce Wayne still felt helpless and discarded his identity as Green Lantern, becoming Batman the Dawnbreaker.

It was at the moment of becoming the Dawnbreaker that Bruce Wayne's Earth crumbled around him, jagged pieces in an endless void. He was approached by the The Batman Who Laughs who had previously recruited The Murder Machine and The Red Death to serve Barbatos. Together as the Dark Knights they would lay siege to the Multiverse of existence above them.

Originally wearing a Green Lantern power ring, Bruce Wayne's will corrupted the light, allowing the darkness to flourish. He is able to use the ring to create a field of absolute black and unleash murderous creatures.
