HISTORY

A comedienne in New York City, Maria Contranetti felt the world owed her. When a cosmic storm washed over the Earth, killing the male population, Contranetti acquired the power ring of her neighbor, Green Lantern Kyle Rayner upon his death.

She took it upon herself to use the ring for her desires only and ran afoul of members of the Justice League. When the League confronted her en masse, she refused to help them or give up her ring without a fight.

The power ring was later given to Barbara Gordon. -JLA: Created Equal #1 .
