Synopsis: - Guy Gardner leads three other Green Lanterns to Ysmault, in the hope he can help the human Red Lantern Jack Moore aka Rankorr. Only the dead remain on the Red Lantern homeworld. Rankorr is lost in space after the Star Sapphires had attacked the Red Lanterns, and he too only finds the dead remaining.
- On Zamaron, Star Sapphire Yrra Cynril attempts to transform Red Lantern Bleez to the way of the violet light. Bleez however, is not easily converted and instead it appears she may have infected Fatality, the former killer of Green Lanterns with the red light of rage.
- Atrocitus has travelled many sectors in his hunt for Abysmus. Despite warnings from Skallox, the weakened and ill Atrocitus attempts a blood prophecy which shows him broken and defeated. It is at that moment that Abysmus appears and attacks.
